fantastic JOKE

JESS JOHNSON: I think of our art practices as a microcosm of the house. Making art is a dredging process. Dredging through the accumulated rubbish that clutters your surroundings and your thoughts. Internally we are continuously sorting through the debris. Clearing some space to think. To focus on what's important. Trying to make sense of all the outdated, leftover crap that we just can't seem to let go of. Sometimes life seems like a fantastic joke and the radio just keeps playing love songs.

from utopian slumps from jess johnson/jordan morani 2007 may show, this is not a love schlong.

your blog is fantastic. thanks for visiting mine. this quote is quite abstract. I love how it conveys the strain of the particular ("accumluated rubbish)over the universal ("life")
